The seasons are a changing, no matter how much we moan about it. And just like our own wardrobes do, our children’s wardrobes will have to change too.
Whenever we get ready to update our wardrobes, we turn into little fashion nerds, rifling through pictures of our fashion heroes in magazines and creating lists of wardrobe additions that will create a look that will work for us.
With kids, the fashion statement made can reflect their parents style (though once they hit the terrible two’s, if they have decided they are only wearing purple from head to toe, or won’t wear anything at all, there will be no changing their minds). However, if your child is happy to have you dress them, we thought we ought to offer you a little autumn wardrobe inspiration from the children of those whose fashion choices we so admire.
Our regular go to gal is Jessica Alba’s tiny tot, Honor Warren. Though she is a much subtler fashionista than her celeb kiddie peers, with all her little jumpers, cute accessories, lovely layering, and delicate prints, Honor always looks sweet and stylish, no matter what she is up to with her equally fashionable mommy.
We recognized her wardrobe classics in this season’s AW10 Chloe collection and borrowed her supreme style for inspiration:
Look 1, AUTUMN FLOWERS: We love this look, the layers are perfect for any weather fall might choose to give us and the styling is ideal for a chilled out girly girl like Honor. We used CHLOE’s Floral Cotton Smock Dress, Pleated White Shirt, Pink Ribbed Tights, Pink Knitted Short Cardigan and TARTINE ET CHOCOLAT ‘S Girls Pink Baby Shoes to create this look.
Look 2, PETIT GOSSIP GIRL: Looking a bit like a mini Blair Waldorf, Honor is dressed to impress in her back to school inspired look, which we re created with CHLOE’s Pleated Herringbone Dress, White Knitted Tights, MUCHACHA’s Hair Band Bracelet and CACHAREL’s Black Patent Baby Shoes.
