This cute ceramic solitaire dish is perfect for maltesers, mini eggs or olives, making it a great gift for those that seem to ‘have it all’ and a really cute Easter gift for family and friends.
The dish also doubles as a game of Peg Solitaire, perfect for your older kiddies to play after their Easter dinner.
To play, the same rules of Peg Solitaire apply:
1. Arrange 32 mini-eggs in the cross pattern, placing eggs in every hole except the center hole.
2. Jump on egg with the other egg then remove the egg that was jumped. You can play in any order and move any peg as long as the jumping peg moves into the open hole.
3. The trick is to avoid stranding the cute little chocolate eggs by leaving them far away from other eggs (try to jump pegs in such a way that another peg is within reach).
4. You win the game by jumping all of the pegs until there is only one peg left. Ideally, the last peg should end up in the center hole that was vacant at the beginning of the game.
For kids a bit younger, you can try an easier version of Peg Solitaire where you start with 6 pegs in the form of a cross and play down to one peg.
