Creating a stylish nursery for your children that is both functional and stylish can often be a bigger challenge than you would expect.
You want the decoration to be practical meaning things have to be durable and fun; you want their room to enhance your child’s creativity, so you want decorations that are colourful and tell a story; you want it their room to be stylish, so you have to find items that fulfill all your needs AND look good together.
Like most mum’s, Susannah, a graduate of Central St Martins School of Art and former Beauty and Health Editor at Vogue, had no problem decorating the rooms of her house before she became a mum, but as she attempted to decorate her children’s bedrooms with beautiful, timeless objects, she found a lack of stylish and affordable art for kids, so she started to paint pieces herself.
Soon, friends and family started asking for canvas’ for their own children. And so, Bella-Oscar was born.
Named after Susannah’s children, the simple design and flattering colour palette of Bella-Oscar’s stylish, contemporary kid’s art can be found in nurseries across the uk.

Ship, Ship, Sailing
Cute and fun game of pebbles and shells comes from game maker Pipany’s Danish Great Grandfather Matzen who knew seven languages and sailed the oceans of the 19th century.
The makers grew up playing Ship, Ship, Sailing on Cornish beaches during the summer and around the kitchen table in the long winter months.
The rules are simple, so it is the perfect game for your over threes and it is educational as well, helping children work on their mental arithmetic too.
Each game is handmade and comes with little embroidered ticking bags for the pebbles and shells. Full instructions are included and the lovely calico bag is finished with a carrick knot to keep it all in.
Enough shells and pebbles are included for two players but if you want to add to your game, you don’t need to head to the store to do so, just take a beach walk and collect some of your own pebbles and shells to make pieces for more players.
