What You Will Need:
1 lb extra-lean ground beef
1 packet reduced-sodium taco seasoning
2/3 cup fat-free crème fresh
2/3 cup mild salsa
8 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
1 pint halved cherry tomatoes
1 can kidney beans or black beans, rinsed and drained
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
4 cups of tortilla chips, broken into bite-size pieces
(Optional) Avocado, pitted, peeled, and cut into thin strips, Sliced black olives, Lime wedges
What To Do:
- In a non stick pan, brown the beef while stirring in the taco seasoning.
- Pour crème fresh and salsa in a small bowl and stir or whisk until well blended
- Allow the kids to shred the lettuce, break up the tortilla chips, rinse the beans and stir the dressing
- Serve cooled beef, dressing, lettuce, tomatoes, beans, cheese, and tortilla chips in bowls.
